Xobuya started over 10 years ago with a simple observation: businesses in the blinds and window coverings industry were running on spreadsheets, paper, and disconnected tools that weren't built for how they actually work.
We set out to change that. What began as a database-driven solution evolved into a full-featured platform — rebuilt from the ground up as a modern native application for macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android. Every feature has been shaped by real conversations with business owners, sales teams, and installers.

The team behind Xobuya
Damien Kelly
Former Apple Business Process Optimisation Specialist (2007–2014), where he built a career identifying manual processes and automating them through technology. After Apple, Damien founded his own software consulting firm, delivering custom solutions for brands including Apple, Oroton, and oOh!media. It was through this work that he met Brad, who needed an app to quote — and Xobuya was born. Damien spent extensive time embedded in Brad's business, observing workflows firsthand and evolving the platform around real operations. Xobuya is Damien's third SaaS venture, following platforms in the signage and mortgage industries, bringing deep experience in building and scaling industry-specific software.
Brad Gaul
20 years in the window coverings industry, with a track record of building and scaling successful businesses in Australia, delivering to high-profile clients including Nobu and Hilton. Known for assembling great teams and cultivating strong relationships across the supply chain, Brad's deep network of supplier contacts gives Xobuya a direct line to how the industry actually operates. Now based in Hawaii, Brad launched a brand new operation from scratch using Xobuya as his business-in-a-box — proving the platform works from day one. His hands-on experience running businesses on both sides of the Pacific shapes every feature Xobuya builds, ensuring the platform solves real problems for real operators. When he's not in the trade, Brad is a 5-time World Champion paddleboarder.
