When Tradify is the better choice

There are real scenarios where Tradify is the right call, and we'll say so plainly:

You run a general trades business, not just window coverings. If you do electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building, or general property maintenance alongside (or instead of) window coverings, Tradify is built for exactly that shape of business. Its templates, scheduling, and job-tracking flex across service categories in a way Xobuya doesn't try to.

Time and labour tracking are central to your jobs. Tradify has serious depth on timesheets, labour costing, and job profitability based on time-on-site. If your business model is "X hours of labour at $Y per hour," Tradify is shaped for that. Window coverings businesses are typically priced on product, not labour, so this matters less for them, but if labour is a significant share of your costs, Tradify's tooling is genuinely better.

You want a platform with 20,000 customers and serious backing. Tradify is now owned by The Access Group, a major UK software company. That means resourced engineering, fast feature development, and lower vendor risk. If institutional scale matters to you, that's a real advantage.

You don't do much made-to-measure quoting. If your window-covering work is simple "supply and install a standard product" rather than "configure a custom blind with this fabric, this width, this mount, this motorisation," Tradify's generic quoting will probably handle it fine.

You're already on Tradify and it's working. Software switching is real effort.

When Xobuya is the better choice

Where we think Xobuya genuinely wins for window coverings businesses:

You sell made-to-measure window coverings. This is the core distinction. Made-to-measure pricing in window coverings depends on: width-band base prices, fabric upcharges per square metre or square foot, configuration items (motorisation, headrails, brackets), and supplier-specific rules. Tradify's quoting model, templates, kits, and supplier price lists, wasn't designed for this. A rep using Tradify for a custom roller blind quote ends up either typing prices manually or building elaborate template gymnastics. You want AI that builds the quote itself. Tradify's Plus tier includes AI features, but they're general productivity AI, not window-coverings-specific quote generation. You quote in customers' homes with patchy reception. Xobuya is offline-first by design. A rep keeps working through a measurement, photo capture, and quote build with no signal. Everything syncs when they're back online. Tradify's mobile app works on the road, but it's not built offline-first in the way Xobuya is.

You want native desktop apps too. Tradify is "downloadable as an app" on iOS, iPad, and Android, with desktop access via the web. Xobuya runs natively on iOS, iPadOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. Owners, office staff, and schedulers get a real desktop app, not a browser tab.

You want voice dictation for measurements in the field. A rep can dictate measurements and notes directly into the quote rather than tap them in.

Your business is window-coverings-specific.
